My name is Mona Mour, and I've been playing roller derby since 2007. I'm currently a member of the Boston Derby Dames, Boston’s first and only all-female, DIY, skater-owned and -operated flat track roller derby league. I skate for the Wicked Pissahs, manage the Boston Massacre, and am a member of the BDD Executive Board. BDD is a proud member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and I serve as a skater rep to the organization. I also run WFTDA's Tumblr. I got my start in derby as a Bleeding Heartland Rollergirl (Bloomington, IN). When I'm not skating, I also write books. This blog used to be all about roller derby, but these days it's about other things, too.

(But really, I would love some customization options — the Japanese logo being another example — just to switch it up from time to time since I live in the Tumblr Dashboard.) I really, really hate this decision. I think the particular shade of blue Tumblr uses for its dashboard to be particularly depressing. I’d really like to hear why exactly we can’t use the black background anymore. I’m wicked bummed about this. Seriously, tumblr. It’s like you can only accomplish three things at once. I’ve never encountered a service so intent on taking away features.  AND WHERE’S MY DAMN REPLY TO REPLIES FUNCTION?!
